Estimates

Summary Cards

At the top of your Estimates area, you can see a small dashboard with 4 cards. For each of these, you are able to see the total sum of your estimates for the associated status (Sent, Accepted, Declined, and Invoiced). As the status of your estimates change, these cards will update alongside them.

Status Categories

Above your Quick View area, you have the ability to use the category tabs to quickly bring up all estimates within that category. These are the category options:

All: All estimates regardless of their status.

Draft: Any estimate that has been created but not yet sent or which has been edited and reverted back to draft mode.

Sent: Any estimate that has been sent out to a contact but which have not yet been accepted or declined.

Accepted: Any estimate that has been sent out to a contact and which that have signed and agreed to.

Declined: Any estimate that has been sent out to a contact and which they have either rejected or which has expired before they could accept.

Invoiced: Any estimate that you have converted into an invoice.

Quick View

Below the search and filter area, you have your quick view. This area gives details associated with your estimates. You can also use the search bar and date filter to filter the results that display in your quick view. The following columns display information about your estimates:

Quote Name: The name given to the estimate.

Estimate Number: The number given to the estimate, this can be configured when an estimate is first generated or modified from the settings area.

Customer: The contact associated with the estimate.

Issue Date: The date the estimate was sent.

Value: The total value of the estimate, taking into account all products included within and any discounts given.

Status: The current status of the estimate.

Settings

The Estimate settings are mainly shared with Invoice settings, for example changing any business information changes that for both invoices and estimates.

However, in the Title & Terms and in the Notifications areas, you are able to customize the appearance and notifications that are sent specifically for Estimates separate from invoices.

Creating Invoices From Estimates

If an estimate is accepted, you can navigate to it in the estimates area, either under the All or Accepted category, click on the estimate, and then create an invoice directly from the estimate. This will bring you directly into the invoice builder and import the settings from your original estimate.

Alternatively, when first building an estimate, you can also under additional options check the send invoice button, which will automatically send an invoice based on the estimate once accepted or if you have enable direct payments on in the same area, would redirect them to an invoice in the same tab once the estimate is accepted.
