Payment Settings

The settings area is where you are able to customize all aspects of your payments, including:

Receipts - Sets up receipts that are provided to clients upon completion of payment.

Taxes - Allows you to configure tax rates and include taxes in your products.

Notifications - Allows you to set follow-ups for abandoned carts (relevant for Online Stores only) and to send order confirmations for online stores.

Shipping & Delivery - Allows you to create shipping zones, allowing for the calculation of shipping prices.

Shipping Origin - Allows you to set the location from which items will be shipped.

Subscriptions - Allows you to access settings to manage failed payments for a subscription.

Receipts

In the receipts area, you can do the following:

Sales Receipts - Enable and disable automatic sales receipts for payments.

Title - Set the title for receipt notifications.

Receipt prefix - Set a default prefix to be used on receipts.

Receipt start number - Set a start number that is used on receipts. Future receipts will continue to increase this number by one every time a new receipt is created.

From Name & Email - Set where the receipt information will appear to come from. If these are left blank, they will default to your instance name and the business email (found in settings>business profile>business email).

Subject - The subject line for the email with receipt information.

Email Template - The template used as a default for receipt information.

Add Notes / Terms - Any additional notes you would like added to your receipts in the notes / terms area.

Taxes

In the Taxes area, you can do the following:

Include tax in prices - Enable/disable taxes from being included in product prices.

Tax Rates - Set up tax rates, allowing you to give a name, rate, description, tax agency, and tax ID number for each tax rate. It is recommended only to use manual tax rates if you are selling to customers outside of the US.

Automatic Taxes - Enable/disable automatic taxes, allowing the system to automatically calculate sales tax based on the customer’s location rather than relying on you setting up tax rates for each state. Additionally allows you to set a default tax category and nexus address.

Notifications

In the Notifications area, you can modify settings that are particular to the Online Store, including:

Abandoned Cart - Allows you to enable/disable notifications for abandoned carts. If enabled, allows you to set an email template and settings for a notification to go out if a customer abandons their cart.

Order Confirmation Email for Stores - Allows you to enable/disable notifications for confirmed orders (only if placed in online store). If enabled this allows you to set an email template for order confirmations, which will include download links for any digital products.

Order fulfillment Email - Allows you to enable/disable notifications for when an order is marked as fulfilled. If enabled, this allows you to set an email template for fulfillment notifications.

Shipping & Delivery

In the Shipping & Delivery area, you can set up shipping zones, allowing you to:

Give the zone a name

Select relevant countries (as well as particular states /provinces /regions /territories /counties /emirates /departments /prefectures for certain countries).

Set up a shipping rate for each zone, either using flat rate shipping, conditional pricing based on either the price or weight of the order, or using a third-party carrier if integrated with your instance.

Shipping Origin

In the Shipping Origin area, you can set your shipping address.

Subscriptions

In the subscriptions area, you can set preferences for reattempt charges for when a subscription fails. If a subscription fails too many times, you can also choose to set the subscription status to cancelled or send an invoice to the contact for the failed payment amount.
